This is a great mid range scooter. But if you want faster I’d go with the eagle one pro. Other than it being an older model it’s decent has good pick up. The battery is ok it drain it fast when in dual motor. If you use single motor you get about 20 miles to the charge I have not gotten 40 miles out of a charge. You would have to keep it in gear one and single motor and not go over 10 mph and maybe you get 30-35 miles. If you looking for a beginner scooter this is it. Mind that it does not have turn signals or a headlight. And the horn is a ring bell not electric. But like I said it’s a great beginner scooter. But I find it leaving me to want more speed! For the price though can’t complain would have been better at 1000-1100 range being that is is older I feel. So if you looking for a good scooter and are not a speed chaser then this one will work great. Varla support was responsive and sent a new controler cause mine just go out on me it was defective from factory. So if you woried about the warranty don’t. If anything is wrong when you receive the scooter the will fix it. And if you buy any scooter you will have to do maintnance to it like brake pad replacement over time. Was easy to put together also. I would buy again from them! Just remember if you need turn signals and head lamp buy the v2.0 or pro. After all this is just a 10x scooter.
Eagle One Dual Motor Electric Scooter
Love this scooter. I have been 51 mph on my varla on flat land
Finally took the plunge and ordered an Eagle One! I have an older Mega Wheels S5 with a failed motor, and had been looking at upgraded scooters for a while. Wanted something with more power and speed, suspension, real hydraulic disc brakes. I started with the Varla Eagle One before initially thinking it was to much everything, but after looking around, over-analyzing a lot of other options, finally came back to the Eagle One for great performance specs, and their recent sale helped too. So at that point, it just made sense. And it sure doesn't disappoint! Only have a few miles on it now, but a HUGE upgrade from my older scooter. Much more comfortable to ride on not great roads and sidewalks, smooth acceleration in all modes, and effortlessly gets up to traffic speed, and also great regenerative (configurable) and hydraulic brakes. It is heavy, so that's a slight downside of less-powered smaller scooters in terms of portability, but the weight is mostly low (batteries in the deck) and overall helps with the stable feel, at all speeds.
Varla offers a "V2" model now, with some more refined features (the locking mechanism for the steering stem/head tube for instance), which I was debating, but ultimately decided the original Eagle One would be fine for me.
Looking forward to many pleasure rides and around-town errands, where I don't really need my gas-guzzling truck.
